We'll post links to all of the fan works on Dreamwidth to promote across tumblr and other fan sites!
Event Guidelines
The purpose of this event is to create fan works that add Faith to more BtVS/AtS canon that she previously wasn't present for.
Fanfiction, fanart, and fan videos are welcomed for this event!
- Choose your season, then use our random generator to be assigned an episode to add Faith to!
- Episodes can be from BtVS, AtS, or a crossover of both
- Ships or genfic are welcome, as long as Faith is included!
- If you have a specific episode in mind, you're welcome to choose that instead of using the RNG
- No limit to how many episodes/fanworks you do
- Can be one-shots or multichap, as long as you finish by the deadline
All works should be added to our AO3 Collection.
We encourage you to write episodes that Faith isn’t present in, but rewrites of episodes with her are also welcome!
Rules
- No limit to how many works you do
- Minimum for fic is 500 words and minimum for art is a clean, finished lineart on unlined paper. There are no maximums.
- Works should be original fanfiction or artwork; please do not repurpose already existing works
- Please do not reveal works until the event closes
- Any works made by, or with assistance from, AI are not permitted and will be banned
FAQ
Do I have to use the random generator to be assigned an episode?
Nope! You can choose an episode if you have one in mind. You're not required to disclose which episode(s) you're writing for; we understand that there may be some duplicates.
Do I have to choose an episode that Faith isn't in?
We encourage you to write episodes that Faith isn’t present in, but rewrites of episodes with her are also welcome!
Can I write an AU (coffeeshop, college, etc.)?
All works should have a recognizable link to a canon episode. While you might change the plot of that episode to accommodate Faith, readers should still be able to tell when in canon it occurred.
- For example, you could write a coffeeshop AU where Faith comes to Sunnydale as a barista and Buffy is a customer, and they have to team up unexpectedly when the ancient vampire Kakistos storms the cafe (Faith, Hope, & Trick plot). It has a recognizable character and plot arc (Faith being chased by Kakistos; them meeting for the first time) with a twist.
- However, a coffeeshop AU where Willow is a customer and helps Faith, the barista, study for her GED, would not be a recognizable link to canon.
No Powers AUs are not accepted as they cannot inherently link to canon.

Date: 2025-06-04 05:27 am (UTC)Are you guys using "prompt fills" as a synonym for "prompts"? Historically, a fill has been the fanwork that one creates in response to a prompt, so some confusion could arise. Unless Faith fans are on the same page here and I'm out of the loop. :)
